Writer, broadcaster and voiceover artist.
I'm Simon Talbot, a writer and broadcaster who has based his entire career on a love of the written and spoken word. I also love music but sadly am unable to play a note or hold a tune.
English Heritage, Historic Scotland and The National Gallery are just three of the organizations for whom I have written audio tours. My words have also guided thousands of visitors around The Taj Mahal, The Bahrain National Charter Monument and the cities of Milan and Munich.
I regularly broadcast on BBC Radio and the Discovery Channel has used my voice for a documentary pilot.
It still really gets on my nerves that I can't play the guitar.
WRITER
I spent four years working in advertising as a copywriter before deciding to pursue other writing challenges.
From audio guides to newspaper articles I combine an accessible style with thorough research.
VOICE TALENT
From straight reads to character voices, TV documentaries to on-hold messages i often describe my voice as "A silken kimono dipped in Belgian chocolate" but then I would wouldn't I?
A former Audio Producer, I am conversant with Vegas, SADiE and Quick Edit Pro.
RADIO PRESENTER
As a solo presenter and as one half of a duo with the wonderfully named Matt Marvel, I have presented music and speech programmes for BBC, Commercial and Community Radio.
